In the $500K Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes, the DRF race of the day, 1&1/2mi (2400m) on the inner turf (3 turns) at 5.45 ET, it's a field of 8 and IHS v1.2 picks 5-1-7-2-4. #5 is the up&coming Boisterous (4/1 ML), tr by Shug Mcaughey {stable has been on fire at the Spa meet), with Johny V. up. 1st start at this distance. 2nd pick is last year's Belmont winner Drosselmeyer, so distance won't be a concern for him though has been racing on dirt. Then 1/2 an hour later at 6.15 ET, it's the $1M Arlington Million, over 1&1/4mi (2000m) in Chicago. A field of 10 lining up this year and IHS v1.2 picks 1-5-2-7-3. #1 Rahystrada, now 7 yo, 4th last year, 12/1 in the morning line. Trained by Scooter Hughes in Lexington KY and to be ridden by Sheldon Russell; was 4th last year. RESULT: 7-5-3-9-1
