Donn Hcp

Hi from snowy Zagreb! (-13 deg C today). The 500K Donn Hcp over 1&1/8 mi at GP tomoorw. A wide open field of 11 runners with some household names like Shackleford, Ruler on Ice & Flat Out. Undefetaed Trickmeister is a huge step in class for his firts graded race. I am going for 1-5-8-4, leaving out the fav Shackleford completely, even though he should lead. #1 is Where's Sterling 12/1 in ML so nice value if successful. It will likely be a wet track. The Donn is R10 and PT at 4.45pm
RESULT: unlucky 4th. [9:3-2-0 0.33; out 9 in 8.15, PoT=-0.85/9]

The Donn heads an excellent GP card that also includes the Grade 1, $300,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap, the Grade 2, $150,000 Hutcheson Stakes, and the Grade 3, $150,000 Suwannee River Stakes. The other graded stakes race on Saturday’s schedule is the Grade 2, $150,000 San Marcos at Santa Anita.
RESULT: Where's Sterling was 4th, just missing the Show
