RTKYD'12: Withers Stks at the Big A is the race of the day nationally

The historic Withers Stakes returns today, after a 1 yr hiatus. Over 1700m on the inner dirt(2 turns), now it is a Derby prep, being rescheduled to the winter @ AQU instead of the spring @ BEL, after the Wood Memorial. So the NY Derby trail becomes Withers->Gotham->Wood. But it has attracted a rather weak field of 7. My selection is 7-1-6-3. #7 Alpha is even money fav in the morning line, but really does look the only chance. Did play up in the gates in the BC Juvenile won by Hansen, but won well L/S here, earning a "c", Ramon is up for kairan Mclaughlin and the Godolphin stable, who won the Holy Bull last weekend. Post time for R9 is 4:05 ET. (R8 is the Toboggan (no snow!) over 1200, featuring Caixa Electonica and Calibrachoa again)
RESULT 7-2-6-5 [3 SCR]. 7 was 4-1 on, got away well & cruised in as expected. [8:3-2-0 0.38; out 8 in 8.15, PoT=+2%]
