KyDerby 2012: Can't take anything away from I'll Have Another, but my selection Bodemeister was gallant in defeat, after Smith set a suicidal pace in front
#31. Peter Pan Stks 1&1/8 mi for 3yo on the main track, a major steppings tone to the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes on June 9. I have gone for a long shot, #6 Good morning Diva, winner of calder derby L/s and to be ridden by Julian leparoux, 12/1 in the ML, over the two favorites #5 Mark Valeski (beaten narrowly in the Grade 2 Risen Star and the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby) and the front-running #2 The Lumber Guy (whose only loss in four starts came in the Wood Memorial), with Right to Vote and Le Bernadin in the mix. The Peter Pan is named after the 1907 wiiner of the Belmont and has bene run since 1940.
GMD finshed 4th, MV won. i boxed the exacta which paid $136 for $2.
