R2KD today: El Camino Real Derby

2 for 2 last week. Tricky affair this week on the synthetic surface at Golden Gate in SF, R7 post time is 6.50 pm ET. Field of 10, Incl 2 European imports, only 1 graded stakes winner, #9 Conquest Typhoon the lukewarm ML chalk at 7/2 and my selection resuming after 2 month lay off, and no obvious leader perhaps Metaboss or Mischief Clem. Pretty much any of them could hit the board for the SHOWdown, with #8,9,10 the most likely and #2 & 3 the least likely, in my humble opinion. El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road, also known as The King's Highway) and sometimes associated with Calle Real usually refers to the historic 600-mile (966-kilometer) California Mission Trail, connecting the former Alta California's 21 missions (along with a number of sub-missions), 4 presidios, and 3 pueblos, stretching from Mission San Diego de Alcalá in San Diego in the south to Mission San Francisco Solano in Sonoma in the north.
