In the Orr I think i prefer one of the quality stayers returning, like Shocking, Viewed or Zipping, rather than the odds-on Typhoon Tracy. Think i'll have $5 each way on Viewed (Bart/SW Arnold). Will be more interested how in Sweet Cheeks, She's Got Gears, Succession etc do in the BD Preludes.
In the US Grade 1's, just been looking at the form. In the 1800m Gulfstream Turf, the 8-5 fav Court Vision is first up (& all the rest of the field are second up!!) He did run 59 secs in fast track work over 1000 on jan 27, so i guess they just train them differently here. Same story re fitness in the Donn Hcp, so think I'll bypass Florida and have $5 e/w on Switch in the Las Vergines for 3f over 1600 at santa Anita (r4#4). at only her 2nd start here in a Gr-2 over 1400m 3 weeks ago hung on well for 3rd after leading: seems to have a bright future.
Superbowl: most people i talk to here want New orleans Saints to win. mainly seems they don't like the Colts QB Peyton Manning ("too vanilla!"). Will be hard for me to barrack for the Saints, but think i will be rootin' for them on Sunday.
