It's New York Stks today, a Gp 2 set weights and allowances event over 2000m for fillies and mares on the inner turf track (2 turns). a small field of 7 with not much pace. the 5,6, 7 most likely to go fwd, with little tactical speed underneath. going with the 5/2 fav #6 Lady Shakespeare, with good turf record and ridden by Jonny V, from the #1& #2. [Result: 6-2-1 (3&4scratched, and 7 disloged jockey at start, so only a field of 4. #5 led 1&2, while #6 "reserved" last, needed some encouragement at the 600, came around field on home turn, and proved too strong, paid $3.25); 11:2&4].
