In Millerton with Monica, Kate & Maximus. R9 at Belmont is the 54th running of the Mother Goose 3fsw-1/1700 [1 turn]. Only a field of 5 on the main dirt track, and I'm going with the omen bet, #5 Katy Now (Desormeaux/Pletcher). Hasn't run in a stakes race before, so big class rise as well as weight rise, but has improved at each of her 5 starts, and likely to be on speed (8/1 in morning line)in the small field. Stablemate #3 Devil May Care (Velazquez) comes out of Ky Deby failure LS but won 2fsw-1/1600 last october, is 6/5 fav in ML.
Result: #3 won. so much for omens (again). #5 led but weakend in stright for 4th; 12:2-4 (.160, 0.500)
