RTKYD'12: Week 1 - Gr 3 Sham Stks (1mi) at SA

Hi, PAP is back for 2012 with a new look and ready for a winning year on the punt!Had a big day at Churchill Downs on Breeders Cup Day, so starting off on the Road To the Kentucky Derby full of confidence.

The Sham is the first stakes race for 3yo of the new season. The Lecomte on 1/21 at the Fair Grounds and the Holy Bull at Gulfstream 1/28 are the other two 3yo stakes races this month.

Last year, Tapizar looked very impressive wiring the Sham for Steve Assmussen and got a 103 Beyer but next start refused to settle in the Lews and was unplaced. he then broke down. None of the 2011 Sham field of 6 were amongst the 31 horses that contested the Triple Crown events (only 3 ran in all 3: Animal kingdom, Shackleford & Mucho Macho Man).

My selections in the Sham are: 4-Secret Circle (L/S winner of BC Juv Sprint-6f/LR on the Friday; blinkers off today), 5-Longview Drive and 2-Out of Bounds. Post time is 1.23pm PT.
