Calder R7 tomorrow - Fred Hooper Hcp

So graded stakes racing in the US basically goes into hibernation now until the spring. This year's Hooper is a tricky race. there is a lot of pace (avge QSP 4+) and the two classiest horses, the top weight #4 Csaba (defending champ - DH ) and #7 Sr Quisqueyano could duel, setting it up for a closer. But they are generally weaker and mostly untried in stakes races. Last year's other dead heater #10 DucDuc is a closer and is drawn on the outside so he could settle back and then come around them. he loves this course and distance. while he hasn't done a lot lately and finished down the course in an allowance last start, and is at 12/1 in the ML so I'm going to make him my prediction across. An alternative scenario is #7 taking the lead and #4 in the 1:1 or garden seat and being too good (or DH again), but as #4 is the 4/5 fav, i'd rather go with the #10
