RTKD Super Saturday:UAE Derby-Fla Derby-La. Derby

Kicks off this morning at 10.30 am with the UAE Derby which is 9.5f and with limited data available and mostly Europeans plus a couple of Aussies , inc. Snowy's Caul Gns winner (and unpl Cox Plate fav) Long John that has run and won at Meydan since arriving and a couple of local horses thrown in. However, despite patriotism towards LJ, based on breeding I do prefer the 5/2 ML fav #5 Giovanni Boldini who ran a nice 2nd in the BC Juv Turf. Untried at this dist but from the Aden OBrien stable and is my SHOWdown selection, for which I go into today 7-11 [now relegated to the also rans]. Got a long way back and just missed 3rd. Ironically a weak Pommie outsider called Taste Of New York won. In the FLA. Derby at 6:48ET , for the selection I have #3 Cairo prince and #6 General a Rod on top but for the SHOWdown I'm going with "The General". #1 Wildcat Red led #6 General outside with #3 Cairo stalking off rail, making 3 wide bid on turn, and eventual winner #4 Constitutional in the garden seat. It got thru inside on the rail entering strecth as WCR hung out a tad and ran on on v impressively , considering only 3rd start and fist at stakes level. WCR fought on well for palce and the General did quite well for 3rd. Cairo battled on for 4th. forget the rest. A few minutes later, at 7:10pm ET, it's the 101st running of the Louisiana Derby (Gr2) and the selection is #1 Intense Holiday who is expected to drop back early and close hard in a field that appears to have plenty of pace. 3/1 2nd fav Vicars In Trouble crossed and led all the way. Intense Holiday (9/5 fav SP) was stalking on rail then got outside VIT and battled on for 2nd. Commanding Curve ran on for 3rd. The other one in the mkt In Trouble got 4th
